“The House of Hope gave me my resilience back and reminded me that I can overcome anything. I’m not sure where I would be without them.”
– Helen, Mother of 4
In 1990, a chance encounter with a homeless father and son changed the life of Denny Hancock forever. With the support of family and friends, Denny founded Mamma’s Hands and, in 1994, the House of Hope. Our mission is to help those in crisis regain their self-respect and help them become productive members of society. With the help of countless volunteers and donors, Mamma’s Hands has grown into a powerful force for good in the Seattle area. We hope you will take time to explore this site.
